General Cleaning Instructions:
Normal cleaning is easy by following these instructions:
- A mixture of warm water, mild liquid detergent or non-abrasive cleaner & a soft sponge is adequate for most cleaning.
- Dust & dirt may be removed with a soft damp cloth.
- Grease, oil, paint, or ink stains may be removed with isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol.
- Use only approved cleaners on your Re-Bath system. See above for an updated list of approved cleaning products.
- Never use abrasive cleaners, razor blades, or other sharp instruments that may scratch the surface of your Re-Bath products.
- Avoid exposing your Re-Bath products to harsh chemicals such as acetone (nail polish remover) nail polish, dry cleaning solution, paint removers & thinners, drain & bowl cleaners, gasoline & pine oil. Strong detergents formulated for use on tile or porcelain enamel surfaces should be avoided.
- Your Re-Bath system is designed to provide years of enjoyment. It is extremely durable but can be damaged if abused, mistreated or exposed to unapproved cleaners. To avoid this, please follow these care & maintenance instructions carefully.
WARNING:
Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasives, lime removers, toilet bowl cleaners or any chemicals that have not been approved by Re-Bath, LLC.
Use of these chemicals or abrasives will cause a dull surface and/or chemical crazing or cracking of the Durabath SSP® surface.
Use non-abrasive soap and water when possible. Review instructions on cleaner before applying to surface of Re-Bath products. Never use abrasives. Be sure to thoroughly rinse after each cleaning.
Drain Cleaning:
The use of Drano or other harsh chemical drain cleaners is not recommended. The preferred method for cleaning is to remove the drain and use a plumbers snake.
If chemical drain cleaners must be used, use a funnel and proceed cautiously.
If the drain cleaner comes in contact with the bathtub or shower, it will cause permanent discoloration or damage to the Durabath SSP® surface.
